I think this is a pretty neat quirk, and would like to compile a list of these spell phrases by spell, with your help. So Record Keeper's incantations are either new or previously unused in actual gameplay. However, War of the Lions didn't use the feature of having characters occasionally speak before casting spells. The script is different, and seems to be based on the re-translated version of FF Tactics War of the Lions. This would be unremarkable, except for the fact that these aren't the incantations as they're used in the original release of Tactics on the PS1.
And with that, we also get new incantations to hunt!Īs in FF Tactics itself, Record Keeper has FF Tactics enemies occasionally say a brief incantation before casting any magic spells or special job-specific skills.
But we also got a dungeon update last week, and with it, the first truly new Final Fantasy Tactics fight in quite a while, with new enemies and new attacks to deal with.
