If encountered during Reunions, Dogmeat will be hostile to her.She will also aid the Sole Survivor against nearby hostile enemies. She will appear pleased at the Sole Survivor having relieved her pain, sometimes producing a teddy bear and happily tossing it about.After the naming dialogue concludes Mutt will simply stay in the area until the encounter/zone resets. If having to ask her name instead of picking one she will then be labeled "Mutt" afterward. The third dialogue prompt has either asking her name or choose between the three names Mutt, Sparky, or Buttface. Afterward, the right legs will be at full health in V.A.T.S. The Sole Survivor can interact with the mongrel and will be given the dialogue prompts to ask if there is anything wrong and then a second prompt to render help in the form of a stimpak will be available.There’s a good boy.This character has no special interactions. You can check out the mod in action at the top of this post. It may all sound a little silly, but hey, as Fallout has taught us, radiation can do crazy things. Also, you get your own little doggy-sized Pip-Boy and can team up with the regular Dogmeat, for some hot double-doggin’ action.
The Be The Dog mod makes Dogmeat the star of Fallout 4, which means, yes, you start out as a dog with a wife, living in a house with your baby named Shawn. Well, thanks to a new mod, Dogmeat doesn’t need to wait around for you to go on an adventure.
You may even find yourself replacing him with another more versatile companion at some point. Unfortunately, Fallout 4 doesn’t give Dogmeat a lot to do.
I mean, it’s not like there’s a wealth of other sympathetic characters roaming The Commonwealth. If you polled people on their favorite Fallout 4 character, a good portion of them would answer their mutant-mauling doggy sidekick Dogmeat.
